SDG 15 – Life on Land
Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss
What is SDG 15?
Sustainable Development Goal 15 (SDG 15) is dedicated to protecting, restoring, and promoting sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably managing forests, combating desertification, and halting and reversing land degradation. The United Nations aims to ensure the conservation of biodiversity and the sustainable use of land resources.
The United Nations’ Objectives
The United Nations envisions a world where terrestrial ecosystems are preserved, biodiversity is conserved, and land degradation is reversed. SDG 15 addresses the need for immediate and collective actions to protect and restore life on land, fostering sustainable land management practices for the benefit of current and future generations.
